Change of Heart

Change of Heart by Jodi Picoult is 447 pages long. It is a good past time read. The book is about a mother who has lost her oldest daughter, Elisabeth and her husband to a man, shay, which murdered them.  The man who murders them is put on the death penalty in the state of New Jersey. Eleven years later the book follows one of the guys on shays Jury, Shays unexpected lawyer, and June Nealon, the lady who lost her husband and daughter.
Right before shay is schedule to receive the death penalty he decides that he wants to be a heart donor. June Nealon youngest daughter, Claire, has a heart problem and desperately needs a new heart. Read the book to find out whether or not June allows to let her daughter take the heart that killed her other daughter.
I thought this book was ok, not outstanding but not terrible either. It had an interesting plot line that coasts you through. I rate this book an A-.

  2. I see how this book could be slow, but I think I would like it. Especially to know if she allowed her daughter to take the cruel heart that killed her sister.

  6. I don't really enjoy readying but this does sound interesting. But it would be hard being a heart donor so that was nice of Shay.

  7. This sounds like a good read. I think the position that the mother was put in would be a very difficult position. To take the heart or not to take the heart. But this book sounds like it would be a good book to read to find out the answer. Shay in the end sounds like a good guy for doing this. But still very difficult for the mother.

  8. 447 pages is way to long. Why would he decide to be a heart donor?

  11. I have no idea what I would be do if I was in the mother's position. Also, slow paced books can sometimes be the best if you can stick through them.

  12. I've read this book. It is kind of slow in spots, but like all of Jody Picoult's books, there is a twist at the end that makes the wait worthwhile.
